JOSHUA OSEKO MORARA

Founder & Executive Director,

Joshua Oseko Morara is the Founder and Executive Director of Down To Talent Foundation, a grassroots organization committed to nurturing talent, restoring dignity, and transforming lives among vulnerable children, youth, women, and families in underserved communities.

Born and raised in Kibera one of Africa’s largest informal settlements Joshua’s story is deeply rooted in resilience, faith, hope, and purpose. Growing up amid poverty, uncertainty, and limited opportunities, he witnessed firsthand the struggles that many children and young people silently endure: dreams cut short, untapped potential, and lives shaped by circumstances beyond their control. Yet even in the midst of hardship, he held onto one unshakable belief: where a child is born should never determine how far they can dream or how high they can rise.

Many once asked, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Yet from a place many overlooked emerged Jesus Christ the hope of the world. In the same spirit, Joshua believes that communities often dismissed by society still carry extraordinary potential. To him, Kibera is not a place defined by lack, but a community rich with resilience, gifted children, courageous women, untold stories, and future leaders waiting for someone to believe in them.

As a young man growing up in Kibera, Joshua saw gifted children lose hope not because they lacked talent or potential, but because they lacked opportunity, mentorship, and people willing to walk alongside them. He encountered families burdened by hardship, young people whose dreams were buried too soon, and children longing not only for support, but to simply be seen and believed in. These experiences deeply shaped his heart and awakened a lifelong calling: to ensure that no child’s future is limited by the circumstances they were born into.

This burden became vision.

Driven by compassion and an unwavering commitment to community transformation, Joshua founded Down To Talent Foundation as a place where hope is restored, gifts are nurtured, and lives are transformed. Through mentorship, education support, talent development, women empowerment, discipleship, and community outreach, the Foundation exists to create opportunities for those too often overlooked and to raise a generation grounded in purpose, dignity, and possibility.

Joshua brings a strong background in media and storytelling, with expertise in videography, photography, and editing using visual storytelling as a tool to amplify unheard voices, preserve stories of resilience, and inspire meaningful change. He also has a strong theological background and serves as a pastor, passionately committed to servant leadership, mentorship, spiritual growth, and holistic transformation.

At the heart of Joshua’s leadership is a deeply personal conviction: that every child matters, every dream deserves a chance, and every community no matter how overlooked holds the power to rise.

Today, Joshua continues to dedicate his life to restoring hope, nurturing potential, and proving that even from places many underestimate, extraordinary stories can emerge.

“We are not just nurturing talent we are restoring hope, raising leaders, and transforming communities one life at a time.”
